There is always a challenge,
regardless of what we choose to do.
Pointless is raging at life,
when it agitates you.
Valor leads to victory,
choice leads to challenge;
And in the end, it's all up to you.
There are those, foolhardy, selfish,
who would choose submission, violence;
They have no stomach to struggle,
and never leave anything to chance.
Hope is inevitable,
when courage comes forth,
and life is cherished!
Whether i have to starve myself,
like Sir Gandhi, teaching my captors,
it's worth the effort to try,
it's the feeling that enraptures!
To give my life to my cause,
to sell myself long
instead of accepting what is!
To cowards, love is dangerous:
it requires sacrifice and virtue!
Why love even needs trusting hearts,
they say "What good could it do?"
better to taste the wine,
and thirst for more
than never have tried to live!
And so, i rise to the occasion.
To love without limits, my fellow man
To love erotically and patriotically,
and live and give as freely as i can!
At least i will die upright,
having taken the risks,
and known my best was given!
He calls to me, though he died long ago
his own people sent him to his grave!
he said "A coward is incapable of exhibiting love;
it is the prerogative of the brave."
May i be worthy of his name,
and live without regret,
and love without shame!
