I wait for you, demon of my dreams
To come and take me away,
From this life that’s fraying at the seams,
I don’t want to see another day.
I want to revel in your grotesque glory,
I want your frozen hands upon my skin,
I want to hear you shadows story,
I want you to light my insanity from within.
Demon of my dreams, come, lay claim,
I’m standing, sheltered by my madness,
And I’m ready to play your twisted game.
Come and take away my sadness.
Leave your fingerprints branded on my soul,
For only me to see and feel,
I’m broken and need you to make me whole,
In this strange place, you’re all that’s real.
I’m fading into the ever-lasting twilight,
The lines are blurring between false and true,
In my destructive mind, you’re only right.
Demon of my dreams, I wait for you.
