confirmations

for years i've known you, for a lifetime really
you've been in my mind's eye, my heart, as long as i can remember
the moment i finally saw you, the moment we talked
was the moment i knew you were the one i'd been waiting for

three signs from God were what you'd asked for
specific, obvious words of affirmations to show you i'm the one
and oh, the tears of joy that streamed down your face

    I am a bit confused at to that the third sign was, but maybe I'm just thick I like the beginning, the feeling that you have known someone all your life and were just waiting to come upon them. Thanks for entering.
