Trusting In Him

In Memphis she was surrounded by family; she was surrounded by love
When she heard a whisper from her heavenly Father above

She really was happy in Memphis; she did not want to leave
But her faith had taught her always to believe

Her faith had taught her not to question His voice
Just to be obedient making all the heavens rejoice

She could not explain it; her eyes could not see
But everything fell into place for her in Birmingham to be

Her Bible had taught her, how His strength was made perfect for sure
In her own weakness she must be, remaining innocent, remaining pure

Like Father Abraham of old, she believed what God had to say
Each and every morning she would humble herself and pray

Asking for guidance, asking for wisdom from on high
Answers to her prayers flowed down from the sky

A new friend she met inviting her to share
A church full of people who would love her with care

Looking back she can now see that her journey to Alabama was about them
A closer walk with the Lord they have helped her to achieve, all because she was Trusting In Him
