So he winked at her just to say “hi”

Quickly she responded returning the deed
His heart rejoiced as she took the lead

Distance is the only thing that kept them apart
She knows her smile had captured his heart

She wrote him a poem about how they did meet
It was sincere, sensitive and deliciously sweet

Of course, he had to respond with rhythmic prose
So she would feel special as their friendship grows
