A Wish Comes True

From the Lord high above
Came a gift for us all to love
This gift was special; it was quite unique
Although we had to feed him every week
We knew he was coming on Christmas Eve
In our heart, we just had to believe
His name was Toby, a bundle of joy
The Lord knew it would bring happiness to my little boy
He was so excited to see his new friend
Unfortunately, we all discovered his chewing would not end
He loves to kiss us all day long
Our love for him has become so strong
When our doorbell rings, he barks like crazy
Other times he is just lazy
Thank you Lord for the skies so blue
For making us happy with a wish come true!
