Our Precious Liberty

The veil was torn asunder as the Lord Jesus gave up the ghost
“It is finished”, He cried out as He sacrificed His most
From this moment forward the penalty for sin repaid
No longer could the bondage of the Law us enslave
Like Father Abraham of old, we must in faith believe
In God’s promise therein for righteous to receive
We are taught to seek first His righteousness, not our own
Obedience much richer than sacrifice, the scriptures have shown
Through faith, His Spirit we receive within
Our Liberty so precious, our new walk we begin
The Truth we now know, it has set us free
All because the Lord Jesus chose to hang on that tree
Don’t think for a minute that you can perfect salvation’s gift
All flesh is as grass and man’s glory a drift
Stand fast in the Liberty wherewith Christ has set us free
In Christ we are complete and forever will be
Use not your Liberty for malicious intent
Love each other, a new path invent
We are sealed forever in God’s family, you see
Forever more, In Christ, enjoying our precious Liberty
