A Poem for Mother Teressa & Abdus_Sattar Edhi

I look at bleak and sapless faces
And merely hold my tears
Or, in seclusion, at the most,
Give vent to a spell of rain
Then wipe away my tears.

While you, though old and bent,
Ignoring loads of your own woes
Wipe the wounds of young and old
(How bold!)
You lift the load of pangs of others
As if a country maiden
Carries bunch of fragrant roses.

Mother Terresa was and continues to an inspiration all across the world. Your tribute to her is meaningful and beautiful.
I'm not familiar with Abdus_Sattar Edhi, though.

    A heartfelt poem.

A thought provoking and powerful write. This is indeed a fine elegy and tribute written with feeling and I do like the final three lines above all else. The use of imagery in these is especially evocative. Thanks for sharing.
