I’m searching for an answer, looking for a sign.
I know there’s something out there that will ease my mind.
I can’t help but feeling that I was meant for more.
I’m just going through the motion; my life is such a bore.
I’m not talking greatness, or what fame and fortune bring.
I’m more talking about fulfillment that makes you want to sing.
Is it doing things for others who never had a chance?
A new job, more education or a new romance?
As the wheels of time keep turning and I head toward the toll,
I feel that I have lost the chance, that I have lost control.
Have I wasted all the time I had? Can I make it right?
Are all the hopes and dreams of youth completely out of sight?
I know this may sound foolish, but a fool I just might be.
I want to make a new start, and rediscover me.
I want to shed away all the burdens of the times.
Relax and take life slowly and keep producing rhymes.
These dreams of mine are crazy and may be out of reach.
I find my self in sandals, living on the beach.
Inspired by the ocean, the people and the wine,
I write poems and prose and love songs that all intertwine.
Will they make a difference or put a smile in someone’s heart?
I’ll never know the answer if I do not make a start.

Aren't we all searching for answers.
This piece put a big smile on my face.
It's never to late to start over, look deeply
inside your heart and soul, you'll find the real you.
Thanks foe sharing and good good

The only way to find out is to start. This is true and I love how you penned this thought into poetry format.
Thank you for sharing your heart,
Jeffrey. -
This is the question, poet... Absolutely profound. This is the philosophy of my soul- that you write of with such ease...The song of my heart. Outstanding! May you be silent, and allow the answers to come into your heart...Namaste
