Thought provoking write
This was a great idea and it got me thinking about how you'd chosen to order the list and then how would I order them. I can see a 'baby, toddler, child, adolescent... and so on, but just taking the qualities in themselves, how they related to each other in terms of dependence and other considerations... I found it not so easy to do!

When I was wondering if 'suffering' should be in there as well, I noticed that your words are all positive qualities.
'Grieving' may be seen as otherwise but compared to 'suffering' even this seems positive to me.
Anyway, just for interests sake, this is the closest I can so far find in arrangement of how I related to them.
Breathing Feeding
Hearing Seeing
Testing Trying
Feeling Tasting
Wanting Grieving
Seeking Learning Teaching
Knowing Loving
Yearning Giving
Living Dying Being
... and my feeling was that 'Breathing, Living, Loving and Being' ran through the whole 'journey'.
This was an interesting write to look at and consider.
All the best

Hey, this is so clever!
You've described 'the journey' (perfect title!) wonderfully. Beginning on gasping, grasping and ending on being is perfect.
