I wish I had a bottle...
Then I'd capture
those sweet memories
those moments of rapture
I would lock up tight
your voice telling me that you love me
the words that gave me such sweet delight
I would bottle up
your words that said you care for me
I would grasp it in my grip
and not let it free
never let it slip
The melody of you voice
would dry up the tears
and take away my fears
And if its not too much to wish for
If I could wish for one thing more

I wish I had a second bottle
Then I'd whisper
"I love you and care for you too"
Then I'd set it on the ocean's waves
and send it off to you
Please tell me what you think

sweet
That's really the word that came to mind...not the slang sweet, but the honey/sugar sweet...Basically it was really nice sounding. It's the kinda thing that is nice to hear from someone that loves you. The imagery was very beautiful, and I really thought the whole second bottle thing was very clever. Great write!

reading this right now... well... i am choking down tears and wishing the melody of his voice would dry them...
i can't even express what these words mean to me, actually... on a few levels.
to give my heart and love someone to the point that my happiness means less than his...i know i have found it. not necessarily in a romantic way, but in a truthful way that makes me know wishes are granted... for love is about giving to the other and making a commitment to see through anything...
and when memories are bottled, then i smile, and i too will place my bottle on the ocean waves and pray he gets it in time to know... love can never give enough.
absolutely wonderful... loved each word and image you had in this... and the emotion it stirred in me can't be described.
