Lune Sings

Missing image

-to be read to the melody of Random Goldfish's   Fionúir's Blossom
alternate music link

You've GOT to read to the music- view this as a libretto or lyrics...

(and the harp music is good...)

times denote place in score, so you can follow; it is complex around the interludes...

"to read this without the music would be a crime, like eating apple pie without the ice cream..."

00:00
Lune sings from the stars above,
imagine, the stars above
from the pale moon,
heart-strings waning;

00:09
Lune sings from the stars above,
sings while she’s waiting,
under the moon…

00:14
under the moon… the pale moon…
under the moon… my heart-strings waiting…

00:23
can you imagine if all this were true?

00:25
Heaven in the stars above;
found love in the stars above
on the pale moon
heart-strings playing;

00:33
Ringing in her heart above
heart-strings breaking;
can you imagine if all this were actually true?

00:40
tell my heart that this isn’t true,
fool my heart, then lay, winter snow;
la Lune, green eyes, you’ve been chasing,
la Lune, green eyes, please come, stay with me.

00:53
on the moon, under the moon;
on the moon, under the stars, winging…

(interlude)

1:06
imagine if all this were true…
imagine if all this were so true…

1:14
can you imagine if all this were true…

1:16
Dancing in the stars above
hearts play in the stars above
in her faerie dreams,
heart-strings waking;

1:23
Dancing in the stars above
heart-strings waking;
simply the best thing that ever has happened to me…

1:31
La Lune, la Lune,
soft moons, waning;
dance in my arms, raining;
one foolish heart waits, for you...

1:43
can you imagine, if this were true?
can you imagine, two hearts in love?
raining…

(interlude)

1:57
imagine if all this were true…
imagine if all this were so true…

2:05
Fields bloom and sigh in violet hues,
her and I, on dreams of silver bells;
us,
living together, sweet harmony, two…

2:16
Lune, come from the stars above,
wander from the stars above
dance within my heart
already playing;

2:24
Lune, come from the stars above,
come, dance with me,
capturing mystical, magical, fantasies true…

2:31
come to me, ghostly pale maid;
dance with me, with me, faerie maid;
La Lune, green eyes, come nigh, save me,
La Lune, green eyes, fly near, play with me…

2:44
(dancing, dancing…

music, softly speaking, playing, singing…)

3:12
can you believe that this is true?
can you believe that this is happening here?

two…

(interlude)

3:24
imagine if all this were true…
imagine if all this were so true…

3:32
can you imagine if all this were true…

3:34
Lune, you are in my blood,
sailing here within my blood;
captured in my heart,
still ever waking;

3:41
Lune, you've been in my blood,
sailing through my heart;
listen close, here:

(us, sailing!)

3:58
Sail, into the twilight,
sail, until my heart-strings are drawn by night;
stilled by night...

(music to end)

    Thank you for your entry in our contest, while it fits in with the theme, unfortunately it doesn't fit in with the rhyme and flow, which is what this contest is about.
    Thank you...Sue and Jeff

      Yes, I know that fitting in was what this contest was all about, but, forgive me, I could not resist the vague definition of rhyme and flow you gave!

    Oh, this is so beautiful...even where you make La Lune's eyes green even though I said they're blue...haha...it's alright. I couldn't get the music to open here either but of course I had it since I wrote it. I got lost sometimes but I got back on track...but it was still a wee bit confusing.

      Yes, it is quite a complicated piece of music- daunting, it was, to put words to it... especially around the interludes... I wouldn't recommend it to a beginner! Green eyes, more faerie-like...! I'll have to add a few commands to the links to ensure that they open in any situation...
