a brake-in crash,a group or racial clash,
across the seas a sonic boom
Just another day of 9:00 news,
flickering on the TV in your living room.
fists of blood,
chants and screams!
new games in elementary,
tear your bully at the seams.
love carries only definition of hate.
lustful embraces that none should elborate
shame is a myth,
in this world of whores and skimpy wear
girls slowly killing themselves,
believing it's the only way to find someone that will care.
Starving children photos appear in Newyork times
being read and cried over while someone eats steaks and fries.
Never going beyond there own little world
believing the "someone else will help" lies
two-faced politicians,
claiming false hope.
only getting payed by the hour.
but not to save anyone at the end of there rope
morals are fake,
when we can justify murder and lust.
Is nothing safe anymore?
Is there anyone you can trust?
humanity has lost,
the very thing that set them apart.
It wasn't techonology.
But it lied within the soul and the heart.
A man breaks his leg,
from breaking in your house one day
you have to find a lawyer
cuase your gonna get sued anyway?
In a system where,
even the evil are protected.
There is no point in following the rules
cuase if you do you'll be rejected.
Abuse is common,
broken homes all time high
so many of us.
Have went to bed wanting to die.
WHAT WORLD IS THIS?
where even compassion has a price
Good deeds go unrewarded.
even getting what you want won't suffice.
humanity is possessed
by the the un dying demon in every soul
keep lying to yourself.
keep digging a hole
so ashamed,
to belong to what these words insult.
torn inside,
Becuase I am not without fualt.
our we all the same?
have all given in?
no matter what small deed.
we still can't change all the sin.
forgive me please,
for what I do.
I am only human!
but then again...
so are you.

elborate = elaborate
Newyork = New York
payed = paid
there = their
lied = lay (I think)
because/cuase = because/cause (and that stanza - funny, it's crazy what happens nowadays, especially it seems in America when everyone is trigger happy when it comes to "suing" someone)
fualt = fault
Hmm I like that you have tried to rhyme your rant. It is a little childish and the meter is fairly erratic but it is nice that you have put thought into it, unlike some of the other entrants. Most of what you have said is good and I really like your ending. It's not brilliant, but it isn't bad either. Thank you for your entry.

Question...
What is the definition of being human? Are we measured by our acomplishments or our mistakes. Regardless of our good, it is our evil that will be remembered.

Nicely put

Reminds me of Iron Maiden.
