The day started out so beautiful and clear.
It was one of those rare and beautiful mornings,
where you could see across the countryside.
Her heart beat uncontrollably as she sat there,
waiting for her parents to pick her up.
For hours she walked around the school parking lot,
never knowing that she would never see her family again.
As the afternoon sun fell behind the mountains,
she knew in her heart that something was wrong.
Tears quickly filled her little brown eyes,
as she looked up to the sky to see her parents.
Both smiling down upon her, letting her know they were alright.
