Dangling over an endless sea of expectations,
Knowing that at anytime my lifeline could snap.
Stuck in the convenience of comfort and familiarity,
Not daring to dip my toes in the abyss of the unknown.
The fear of drowning in life's misfortunes keeps me captive.
Perhaps, one day soon, I'll simply spread my wings...
and fly.

I've often thought about just unexpectedly moving far far away. I'd miss my friends and family, but maybe...just maybe there's something more out there than this rinky-dink town.
