I see the wind,
Bending and breaking the trees.
So I step outside,
And the wind pushes my hair away from my face.
As broken limbs of trees fly across the ground.
A lighting bolt streams from the sky to the ground,
Lighting up the darkening night,
And I'm all alone.
And I feel peaceful among this turmoil.
Thunder breaks right above my head.
No one knows I'm out here,
For if they did,
I might not ever be allowed outside again.
Rain begins to pour down on me,
Soaking my hair, my skin, my clothes.
Soaking me to the bone.
I strech my arms out, and turn my head to the sky.
Out here as things fall apart,
I can make the slightest sense of my life.
Put the peices back to together,
So they wont fall again.
As the storm passes over me,
I feel my strength being restored.
I feel as though I have been renewed,
As though in this time of dark,
My light was restored.
