They say you can create things
Full of wonder and imagination
Using nothing but your thoughts
But, how do we know when we've gone too far?
The sky steadily turns to red
Lightning cracks the sky
A howling wind sweeps away
All feelings of home and safety
Everybody says, It's impossible
To change the balance of Mother Nature
Then, what am I doing now?
Is it all a dream?
Standing on a high ledge, I see
The whole city seems to hold it's breath
Watching, the now angry crimson sky
Waiting, for the storm to break
Raising my outstretched hand
I grasp the restless air
Bringing my fist down
I coax the lightning out of hiding
A crack resounds in the air
The sky has split in two!
Screams of terror ring across the blinding air
They were wrong, it seems
The balance has been upset
Fire now rains down upon the world
Look what I have created!
Using nothing but my thoughts
I have made my own kingdom
I laugh as they say
This could never happen
Well, look around you,
The fear, the chaos, is very much real
The cold wind caresses my ear
The red skies rumble with distant thunder
Pelting rain upon my shoulders
Finally, after a lifetime of searching
I realize I just had to make it myself
I'm home
