Rain makes our world pretty;
grass, trees and flowers like
to drink the water glittering.
I thirst for rainy days especially
'cause I get to choose from my
umbrella collection; it's huge!
I have hundreds, in brightest colors,
a different bumbershoot for each wet day;
they're fabulous fun, let me tell ya
A Mickey Mouse, one striped,
red and yellow; another that's pink
like a giant piece of bubblegum.
I even have a light brown umbrella,
spotted with purple dots; when I
open that one all the way,
I feel as if I'm standing under a
big and warm blueberry pancake!
