It’s been a minute but I’m back to get up in it
Thoughts of me being finished can now be ended
The pompous poet has returned to get on these haters’ nerves
And give them the lyrical beat down that they deserve
I’m sick with these hits, its spoken word with a twist
I vaporize these lines then I cool them down to a mist
So I can rain on everybody’s parade in the shade
And wash out all the stupid plans they made
Trying to push me to the side because I wasn’t around
Well their pushing just pushed me to put them in the ground
Devastation is a must, mutilation is a plus
I’ll leave them lyrically lacerated up under this bus
That I’m driving, sending careers nose diving
Running over these peasants making more room for thriving
Artists like me trying to be the best that they can be
Honing their skills seeking solitude for their legacy
So the rest can see the blossoming of their poet tree
As they spread the fruit to every suit in this land of the free
Home of the brave, at least that’s what people claim
If no one’s willing to take a stand then who can we blame?
We seem to look for someone to stop our dreams from becoming clearer
Instead of pointing fingers we should check the man in the mirror

These lines leaped out at me!
