The month of June
under the moon,
they danced within a breeze.
They held on tight
into the night,
then dreamt beneath the trees.
The need to cheat
just fueled the heat,
to start their new romance.
Suspicion sings
to hide their rings;
they dared to take the chance.
And yes the risk
was sharp and brisk,
but worth the life now shared.
Two Dear John notes
half full with quotes,
was carefully prepared.
Two lovers bought
the love they sought,
not needing to rebuild.
Forbidden dreams
within love’s scheme,
their destiny fulfilled.

Would be better on a plainer background so it was easy to read but a very good poem and great fun to read thank-you for your entry and please keep them coming in the later rounds
