We should all know better
But we'd do it all again
We pray to silly Gods
But we still go on and sin
We fill up our SUV's
Styrofoam cup slurpee's
And a silly grin
The earth is dead
And we all are going to lose
So lets kick back on the couch
Watching TV with our boos
Watching the state of the earth
Right in-front of us on the news
There are those who know, or in denial
Or just don't care
But it's all of us who live here
And our cross to bare
We aren't going to die tomorrow
And they just don't care
We've got wars going on for nothing
Mis-direction is the thing
The solution is so obvious
It's driving me insane
I say we impeach Bush
But we all just close our doors
If the ozone was the alarm clock
We just hit snooze or ignore
Doesn't matter cause they are rich
And we'll die first cause we're poor
We'll be eating soylent green
And paying for the air we breath
We'll be melting down old plastic
Because there is no more oil
Causing more major pollution
Cause it's all inside the soil
We'll be living inside boxes
Because we have no room to breath
Someone standing right in front of you
Every time you sneeze
Oh yes we all know better
But we've all turned into rats
Breeding like rabbits
But we're just too dumb to stop
We're all just waiting for the other bomb to drop

If the ozone was the alarm clock

We'll be eating soylent green
And paying for the air we breath
Those, to me, were the best lines.
This was good, I really enjoyed reading it. Expressed well...thanks for your entry. The ending is good too...some of it's a little simple and it could all do with refining a bit...but...yeah...good job.
