Smoldering Sandalwood

Smoldering Sandalwood
Written May 14th, 2005

Charcoal smolders within the temple
illuminated with the warmth of candlelight
as I sprinkle the fine tan powder down
letting its aroma fill the room and sanctify

Silver antique chimes, softly play their tune
while dancing in serenity, to the wind's caress
Clarity coming to mind, as I breath the scent
wafting from the tan burner's smoking vents

Cross legged, upon on a wooden floor of tan
as spiritual vibrations rise steadily higher
through mist of incense, I softly begin to chant
focused upon the intent of that which I desire

Lost within the euphoria of divine energies
built within the cone of power, awaiting release
I light tan parchment, setting my spell free
raising my arms, with the words "so mote it be"
