We think of the word and take it for granted
We wish she was here but it cannot be granted
"Grandma" to some but "mother" to others
A friend to us all. One like no other
The parent of our parents, teacher of our teachers
The smile on her face, truly a missed feature
Remember this day, she didn't leave us
She just has a better view from which to see us
Yes, it is true. She is now in the sky
But wipe tears from your faces. There's no need to cry
'Less they be tears of joy when this angel takes flight
Look to the Heavens and when the sun shines it light
Just picture her smiling with all of her might
We argue with life but cannot argue with death
For God is the giver and taker of breathe
Life is full of lessons so learn what you must
We'll miss you grandma. Ashes to ashes and dust to dust
FOR MY GRANDMOTHER. WE WILL ALWAYS MISS YOU
its been awhile. I been through alot.

Wonderful tribute, brother. Had a couple of lines here I like. Pretty smooth flow. Nicely done, indeed. Like your style. Write on. One.

Wow. I didn't get the chance to know my biological grandmothers, although I wish I had. This piece is an emotional one for me, because although you were speaking of your grandmother, I was thinking about my grandfather as I read this. He was the strength in my life that I still to this day strive to equal. No other person can take his place for as long as I have a shred of a memory of him. I lost him less than a year ago and I miss him dearly. Sorry for the book but thank you for the trip down memory lane you just walked me through. Keep penning, cause I'm gonna mos def keep reading.
