When Dreams Quietly Come

Photobucket

In a time that now seems
  far, far away,
Where the night was calm, long
  was the day.
One could find joy as they
  looked around,
Everywhere flowers, trees of color,
  animals abound.
Walking under a canopy of
  speckled green,
Streams reflecting bright with
  a silvery sheen,
I sit still among tall grasses
  waving with the wind,
Finding a certain happiness, a
  peace deep within.
As the day ever so slowly
  says goodbye,
And the night softly, steadily
  fills the sky,
On my face a smile lovingly
  comes to stay,
While beautiful, sweet dreams
  quietly come my way.

Author notes

I used to as a little boy would sit in a field among tall weeds and grass and just watch the day pass by and the night come softly and gently, just as the young lady in the picture is doing.

  • Your are a mans that rarely see the gentleness of life

My husband is the same way. And he can take me on a drive and talk to me and point out by stopping the car and helping me out and taking me to the beauty of life. As you remember I only have 3 percent of my vision left and all I can see now is your face. so in order for me to the beaty is this way. When our yard is full of creature of all kinds he would take a movie camera and let me watch it on my puter. I enjoy it. He take me walking everyday. My kids call me No Eyes. Once upon a time their was an old medicine women who live in colo. on pike peak mountain. My son remember everyone talking about her. she would walk in the woods without anyone helping her. She listen to the birds or the water and follow it. I been practicing doing that. the other night my rug wasnt where it suppose to be. one of the puppy decided mommy need to slide down the step. Well I landed on my feet with a scream and she knew she did a no no. Have you ever seen a hundred pound labador try to get under a bed.?She could only get her head under it. Steve did a viedo on her doing that. I laugh so hard. then My back stop hurting. but if I had landed on my Behind I been in serious trouble. it been eight weeks since the surgery and now the inside is healing and I thought the outside was bad. Nope the inside it the worse. it feel like sometone is pulling and tigthen up my back on the inside. The doctor told me it would be like this. I got two months of this and I will have new body parts. lolssss. Well tonight is my surprise birthday party and guess who is cooking the mexican food. Yep. Me. Tomorrow is my 60th birthday..... Gee Yesterday I was 29, Oh well. Love you sweetie. Keep the writting up. I know I got to do the same...lolsss

      HELLO MORNINGSTAR

I have found everyone goes through many trials in life, some go through very difficult ones and others seem to have a fairly easy ride. I feel all should have a little hardship as when one is made to deal with difficulties they become stronger for it. We learn so much as we let the world around us come into our hearts and minds and show us the good and bad it has to offer. I have had my share of hard times also, much different than you but in many ways just as hard. One can only take each day as it comes and find the beauty in it. Best of luck to you my dear friend and May the Lord smile down on you and your family.

      HELLO MARIANNE

Thank you ever so much for coming by to read this one!'s I seem to stop and think more each day of the world around me and its many wonders. It may be because I am older and then again it just may be that with the difficulties I have faced in the past I have come to only want to see the beauty and not the bad.

      HELLO SANDY

Thank you for coming by to read! 's I just see so much uncaring ways now , I stop and wonder where we have gone wrong, where are the thoughtful and compassionate ways of people that were so common when I was a young boy.
