Single drop,
falls upon your cheek
showing the glisten of
sweet joy shared in this tear,
the diamond moments.
I move closer to the beating in your chest
longing to be the leaf that never falls,
curled around the branches as you sleep.
There’s no reason to let go
your arms are my home;
the nestle of simplicity
when we lock it all outside
to have the safety of ourselves.
When the air gets thick
with cool winds and ice breaks
through the spell of summer,
magic will be self contained
inside our hearts,
beating for each other.
A falling star, ours to wish upon
see it flare in the shadow of our kiss
everyone is envious to see love like this.
Hold me, I‘ll embrace your warmth
as storms share battlegrounds
just outside our window
Still, all I feel is you,
and all
your heart shares with mine.
