Musky scents of heated flesh lingers
steadily, as though around me it belongs
Taunting my senses, swirling fantasies
of our bodies melding in solitude, as one

Soul searching, I yearn to trust you
longing to share with you secrets of my realm
Though I reached out, you denied reality
and the consummation of our true selves

Loneliness begins to seek places inside
where their bitter shadows never peeked
Drawing gloom through open windows
like a magnet, stealing euphoria from me

Captivation seems irrelevant now
mundane prisons stifling the beauty of us
Egos clashing with hidden emotions
games of the mind forming unquenched lust

Sideways glances with husky breaths
like invitations, to once again join the dance
Taunt passions to rise within my hollow heart
but your arrogance killed any emotions I had left

Comforting enchantments shall finally claim me
Your essence banished in mysterious ways
Unimpressed by your power, immune to charms
I'll walk empowered and you shall regret every game
