Spiritual Allegiance
Written January 1st, 2007
Tainted sheets shield the aftermath, drowning the sorrow of these days
As though the blood of innocence did not stain humanity's crusade
Life forces stagnate in their denial. Hearts seethe bitter, so enraged.
Primal urges evolve to encompass greedy reality, showing no shame
Such grandeur in defense of lives soiled by society's pearly whites
How pristine the world's become feigning ignorance to blind eyes
Once I watched, slowly choking trying to breathe blackened air
Testing each aspect of my faith, wondering where I disappeared
Traveling spirals I found my soul encircled in light, it awaited me
Unchained, restored, I now emerge defying judgments cast by society
Darkness shall not stake a claim nor misconceptions of human beings
The truth lies with knowledge gained when open minds take the time to see
