Virtual Nips Reality
Written August 8th, 2007
Though stale, it mattered
those whispers of hope
lingering in dawn's rays
wiping my sleepy eyes
Somehow there, I was alive
eyes closed, mind lurking
feeling secure moments
in warm lingering dreams
How shattered I became
losing tethers of fantasy
false aftermaths caving
in spite I can't understand
Sometimes, I watch you
oblivious to my true depth
still wishing to be accepted
in a world I don't belong to
I'd like to claim innocence
just once, wishing it true
but I know deep in my soul
on some level, I love you
And somewhere in loneliness
part of you reached for me too
two flukes entrapped in dreams
nipping edges of virtual reality
