Walk with me into the woods
What wonders you will see
Bob tail deer and Elk
Nibbling on an old birch tree
Rabbits are running wild
Pheasants with chicks are too
Birds are building nests in trees
And porcupines are playing peek a boo
See the many Butterflies in all the flowers
The wise old Owl up on that limb
Overseeing everything the animals do
Do you think they all will listen to him
I see a playful otter in the stream
It's a Mother with her pup
She closely watches after him
Never leaving him or giving up
Now Mother Nature watches over all
The animals and beauty within the wood
You can safely wander there
If your intentions are always good
Author notes
I got carried away with my writing as usual. It's more than 10 lines.

Nice poem. It sounds like a wonderful forest where all the animals can live peacefully with each other and nothing ever bothers their lifestyles. I would love to go to a place like that and just sit there and listen to and watch all the activity.

Thank you PianoMan. I am glad you like my poem. Visit upper Michigan, Years ago there used to be a lot of woods left to wander through. Check it out through a tourist Agency, they can help you.

Such a beautiful picture you painted
for the reader. Lovely imagery of
nature and the world that very few
of us get to see in our lives. Good
luck to you here my friend!
