Mind Masquerade
Written March 17th, 2006
How tragic it comes to play, shadowing mind, body and soul
without a trace of purpose to the victim it bestows
A lingering smoke façade, whims of games, hidden fancies
lurking like habits of beggars, lost in recesses of fantasy
Beyond life's mundane dirge, light races upon shadow's play
Paramount in its diversion, setting the phoenix to flames
Ablaze in elemental embrace flutes beckon golden hues
Inviting lost spirits to arise, healing’s fantasia resumes
Psyches rejoice serenity, indigo spirals light the way
euphoric, empowered splendor, we dance in paths of gray
Separate beings, complete, no remorse to fill our hearts
confusion gone, memory intact, we part, respectful of our song
