Stale Shudders
Written August 4th, 2007

baits wounded hearts
like metal shards in heat
Toiling against
blistered flesh, irrelevant
to impassioned cries
There, sated enemies
find fascination lacking luster
in unions of vain attempts
to heal wounded pride
