She never felt the need to be a hero.
She never had the urge to be good.
She didn't want to get her hopes up
Even when she felt she should.
She always was an actress
She always knew her lines
The stage never made her neverous
living there for a long time.
And as she stood in the spotlight
as the bitterness in her grew
a face in the audience caught her
a face she never knew
This moment is when she changed
when she spoke with all her heart
She hoped that he remembered
and only her, for the most part.
Author notes
imagine doing the same thing everyday, for example, performing the same play...with no one new in the audience, you get the same compliments, the same everything. until you notice someone new and the passion inside is rekindled, you push that much further to see a change.
