Smoked

The Son came showing the way.
But resisters huffed and puffed-
extinguishing his flame.
They, caring for unrighteous gain,
chose to walk the blind lane,
not wanting to be reproved.

Author notes

This reminds me of Jesus when he came as savior but was executed by jealous pharisees.
