When Laugh Was Lost

Missing image
Bare my blush in night's surrender,

a deeper darkness
dwelling spirit in wind song,

high enough for lips to hear it,
as pine succumbs to silhouette.

I am relentless pirouette,
to taste in sunset's summer spilling,

a filling hole
in wilder aperture,

enraptured sharing
through endless caring
in secret turning,
ever baring,
still,

and so in love.

I am spring's revolutionary river,
flowing stars,
above,
my glove forgotten in the garden,

as green to dream
of blue in midnight;
imagining kiss,
sweet bliss, personified.

So I have cried
in laugh to petal,

meadow's rush
of stream in pleasure,
our treasure,

this lush to lift
in faith to fathom,
misty miss in could have been,

gift,

so swift to hold
in mood of moonlight,

when laugh was lost
in lesser atom.

I'm not really a fan of alliteration, but the occasional rhyme here was alright. The language you chose was very beautiful, it led to a smooth read. On the other hand I couldn't fully grip the meaning of the poem. I felt like your main points were unclear or obscured, and I am not sure why, but that's the way I felt while reading.

It is still beautiful. Thank you for your entry,

Hi Imagine one in love with the world inspite of all mankind has done to disrespect Nature. Then read as if a love has drifted into ruin...and writer is still stong at heart, a revolutionary to hold to conscience in times of disrepair...doing and believing while he feels the tide of fear suge on...without surrender
  • Garlands of softer petals to ring your meadows, catch the spill of summer to thrill a Rocky Mountain morning and an Oregon smile with such soft warning. Gorgeous and beguiling penning, soft as any kiss that takes a heart prisoner. ~K

It's all here in this poem: the blush, the tears, the longing, the love, the faith, the gift, the laughter, the dream, nature, day and night - all aspects of who we are, who you are... beautiful poetry, my friend.
