You took my hand
you showed me how
You promised me it'd be alright
I trusted you
stayed with you
I'd wait for you to make the fight
but when you left
i lost myself
I made my heart heal itself
i forced my soul to leave you back
But i couldn't convince myself of the fact
that you'd left me again for her again
Though you said you'd be around
I will never again beleive that sound
of your heavy boots on the ground.
I hear you all the time
wanting me, calling my name
But here is where I draw the line
no more calls and no more pain.

This is so sad. The pain of the unrequited love literally burns through the words, I can so relate to the situation you describe. Your use of language is deceptively simple yet so effective and you really do communicate the feelings of the poetic voice with empathy and emotively. Great write.
