In breath love’s brought to bear
Blessings freely given
With grace heart’s faith will sing
Songs of eternity
Unto your soul I pledge
Peace and security
With courage I submit
To make you my desire
My delight to serve you
See to your happiness
My being craves embrace
Bonds beyond the tactile
Take me into your soul
Soar with me in the clouds
Comfort me with stories
I shall soothe all your doubts
Make darkness become light
My love, you possess me
To satiate your life
In loving countenance
The Elf Proncess, just having received an engagement ring from a Wizard, recites her vow of betrothal. This makes them married, thought the formality of the wedding celebration still waits. The ring is a crystal orb that glows. It floats in between diamonds with no apparent attachment to the setting.
Composed as a string of connected himistichs of 6 syllables containing 2 strongly stessed accents, using alliteration to connect the last accent of one line to the first accent of the next. This makes any two consecutive lines equivalent to a 12 syllable stich. In most lines there are alliterations with unaccented syllables as well. This is the verse used by the storytellers of old in Germanic languages such as German and English.
