Preserverance


Admiration of the simple things,

is what keeps my mind at bay.

When life's turmoils,

 turned my thoughts astray.

You flew into my hands,

and took a place within my heart

feeling my void of emptiness

letting me know that we'll never part.

The beauty of our new profound relationship

is the Inspiration I need;

when my tears started to slip.

Down the slopes of my face

still you came near me,

warm with an embrace.

Right now,

as you sit upon the thrown of

my shoulder

Life is better

as time passes by

and

together

we

grow

older.

    Alright, I'm back for round two now that I'm judging

    First off, I love the title!! It fits this piece beautifuly

    "Admiration of the simple things,
    is what keeps my mind at bay." The opening lines are amazing, I can really relate to this - and it sets the delciate feel for the rest of the write!

    "You flew into my hands,
    and took a place within my heart
    feeling my void of emptiness
    letting me know that we'll never part.
    The beauty of our new profound relationship
    is the Inspiration I need;" This section is just so toching, and seems personal, wether you were wrting from within yourself, of from the womans point of view in the picture - I love these lines

    "when my tears started to slip.
    Down the slopes of my face
    still you came near me,
    warm with an embrace" - How beautiful, and emotional these words are... The love and connection felt between the butterfly and girl are truly felt within these lines!

    "Right now,
    as you sit upon the thrown of
    my shoulder
    Life is better
    as time passes by
    and
    together
    we
    grow
    older." - It's amazing, because in a butterflies lifespan is not all that long - and in that exact moment, I can feel the growth of these two souls

    Such depth you gave me here... The raw emotion I was looking for is found within your write Thank you again for entering such a heartfelt piece into my delicate contest.

    Butterflies are free

    just to be. We have to work much harder at it. Sometimes, we write to express our feelings and our state of mind. You did a great job of equating the butterfly to your significant other. Take care, sis.

    Beautiful write, Sis. Sometimes the beauty of nature can bring happiness to people's lives. Even if it's something as simple as a butterfly. The butterfly also seemed like it could be metaphorical, like how sometimes people may just come into our lives unexpectedly. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

    This is just beautiful. Your take on the prompt was similar to mine but I feel yours is so much more eloquently written. I loved the flow and the rich deep meaning of life to me which is in the spiritual realm. Beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing with me and best of luck in the contest.
