Today's Visit Under The Oak

I stopped by today,
my friend,

Did you hear me?

As I spoke with you,
I found myself
brushing the fallen leaves away,

I'm sure the many
visitors that came today,
for others,

thought I had lost my mind,
as I sat under that old oak,
just chattering away.

I long to make our visits
more personable,
after all this time,
but I don't know your name.

This spot has become
a sanctuary for me,
with the gentle mist
off of the lake behind me,
the constant breeze
blowing through my hair,

the occasional bird,
stopping by to keep
me company
as I talk with you.

My heart owns a doubt,
that any other stops by
this place-

'Tis a shame that it's
only you and I....

It sounds so peaceful under there. I believe that souls are always around and I'm sure your caring does affect them, in an odd way. I'm on to the last one, I hope all is only good under the tree.

    TIS A SHAME, INDEED!

BUT two is better than one - most of the time, Baby - and as long as one of them is someone as sweet and sensual as you - two will suit the two of you just fine. A fine piece filled with emotion and the appreciation of natures beauty that too few fail to see that is all around you.
    Peace & Love!
    Earl.
