The end of the world came quick
With a bang and a boom
The population got sick
The waters rose too soon
Creatures of the deep took over
No land to be found
No more four leaf clover
No more industrial sound
As a nation we were greedy
Selfish and too proud
Never ones to help the needy
Sacrifice was not allowed
Now we sleep with Davy Jones
Beneath the deep blue sea
While nature gnaws on our bones
Destroyed by society

Oh my heavens...
You are well known for your ability to write creepy poetry...this is waaaaaay creepy...
It really should hit home, too, because that's exactly what's happening.
