Silent Watchers
Written April 5, 2005
Churning through the sands of time
we seek that in which you harbor
numbly watching for the moment
you seek to raise the cone of power
I see you all and I care not
Underestimated you have been
denied respect, we taint your will
but again you stand before us
a vision, free and empowered still
You have no power over me
What gifts have you that hide
beneath the smile on your face
or the shadows of your eyes
looking so brilliant, yet grayed
The mysteries are mine to keep
Hidden in the shadows we wait
knowing the time shall finally come
our patience grows thin, we're tired
and yet the silent fight goes on
Respect all and truth comes
What is it we can not fathom
this power that seethes inside
you are not one of us, we know
and it baffles our higher minds
Perhaps you look and do not see
Witch, tell us your inner secrets
do we watch endlessly in vain
perhaps we should just ask you
for you, have become our bane
Humility is a part of life, seek it
