ache of silence
as the swallow left
In the slipstream of words
where heaven held a pen
and the heart of books
reality nothing more than hello
it was everything

I love the word 'slipstream'.
This has a dreamlike quality to it, it is really quite lovely. -
When we make someone everything, what does that make us. The page unwritten, waiting for the strike of ink, splattered poetry with prayers capturing each letter. If this is so does it not diminish us. The only hand that writes us is within us and we were created in the depth of a greater being who knows how bright our star is. Our job:let it shine.
I want women to dance and then don their finery and take themselves seriously enough to enjoy dinner without the man. I want a men to know that they can keep a perfect house and it is just another application of their engineering skills.
Then when we come together, in the silence of a beginning, our respect for each other will make love be a burnished sun -- we created to suit ourselves and we are bigger for being more than one.
Love,
Tom B.

I know the 'ache of silence' of a first name basis and I sure will be glad when the bum moves out. Best wishes in the contest.

Very lovely good luck doubt you will need it.

In the slipstream of words,
where heaven held a pen
and the heart of books. That is classically beautiful. Sounds like something from Shelly. You give the mind something to catch and keep.

Nothing but a hello. Simple and yet so powerfully stated! Good luck in your contest sis! ~Sie

Emptiness feels this way, a sort of grasping at straws for the substance of heaven and heart. We have swallows around my house. They are tenacious and so quick, and one often perches on a wire just beyond my kitchen window and sings his heart out...all alone. We dream of so much more than the slipstream of words and the vanishing wing. ~ Karen

(I agree: Very cool!)
