Irina and Valerya were demure Russian beauties.
Both were slim, dark-eyed, pale Siberian cuties.
In the northern tundra these young, pouting lasses
Served sausages and borscht as workers made passes.
The corpulent commissar Kiril locked the front door.
The kitchen was closed, but he demanded still more.
Lustfully, he followed Irina to the pantry out back.
Valerya's cleaver laid him low with just one whack.
Ivan thought that Valerya was a socialist dream.
She returned his passion in kind, or so it seemed.
He dined sumptuously on the last night of his life
Then, Irina slit his throat with a bone-handled knife.
Vladimir, young Arkasha, Konstantin, and dark Sergei;
Each stayed for the night, none left the next day.
The rubles were hidden and their belongings were traded,
Years passed, their wealth has grown; beauty has faded.
But, when you travel through the former Worker's Paradise
Be cautious. Be careful. I beg of you. Heed my advice.
With aging Siberian waitresses, don't tarry too late
For, they'll steal all your rubles and serve you up on a plate.

Thank you. I enjoyed doing this one alot. I think I lost points for being wordy. It is always nice to get a trophy, but in the end it is content that counts. I am looking forward to more Helie based prompts. They suit my twisted sense of humor.

enjoyed this one

I'm quite the pain when it comes to longer writes, but you have managed to capture me from beginning to end with this one, so well done and thank you for that
the almost maniacal edge that you have on this one is what stood out for me ... you have taken a step into the abyss and come up trumps in my opinion!
I enjoyed the sentiment behind this one as well and the unique take on it - well done and thank you for your entry

I did enjoy the contest alot. I didn't see a line specification and generally consider all of my work to be short. I do strive to keep my work interesting from beginning to end. I am glad you found it noteworthy. Thank you for the silver cup.

very great poem! It has a nice edge to it, very well I liked it.
"The rubles were hidden and their belongings were traded,
Years passed, their wealth has grown; beauty has faded"
The mentioning of their beauty fading is a very great detail.
