harbor lights send ships
safely away from the shore,
I stand and watch you go
but maybe this was not your home
searching for the one heart
to make love shine,
realize the face you look for
is there and not here
the oar to make ship sail
steady and sure; she is real
and though eyes have never seen
fingers reached through distance
just for your heart to feel
and when her skin is the one
inside your own, you will know
everything that needed repair
is finally healed
