In her old silk kimono
I am blue sky and gold dragons
flying over the flaming tips
of burning Bonzai
I am her leftover dreams
induced by an Asian moon
she had no reason to love
but loved, nevertheless.
Author notes
my mother's favorite silk robe - i am wearing it now.

This is good and I understand the feeling perfectly.
The fact that you are wearing the robe as you pen
this poem adds the comfort factor to it. Lovely!
Love,
Amera♥

Wonderful... I liked the start of this poem; it gave me an instant image. I then went on to think about how the personalities of the ones we love must cling to the things they treasured. By clutching these keepsakes, a part of them remains with us.
Thanks for posting this,
Love, Peter

What else can i say ..."Beautiful". Good luck.

I really liked this one. I think my favorite kind of poetry isn't really a style but when it's focused on small thing that is ordinary to everyone except the poet writing about it. Because the poet knows all kinds of stories and thoughts about this item that no one else does. And this poem is just the most perfect example of that. I loved the whole thoughts and feelings that went into that silk robe you were wearing. If I had been looking at it, it would have just been this plain but pretty looking robe to me. But to you, it was with wonderful thing to cherish. Thanks for helping me see that beauty with you.

Sounds like a perfect match for my waistcoat!
I wore my Grandpa's sheepskin coat at every excuse for years, clothes are so intimate a connection, and this is so evocative a write
