Nevermore

Trees begin to loudly rustle,
as their leaves start to fall.
Under a blanket of pure night,
the clouds creep over us all.

Hiding the lucious full moon,
like a game of hide and seek.
Only revealing the outer edge,
to a bright light as we peek.

Hoping to catch but a glimpse,
of a magnificent, powerful view.
That traps us in a state of awe,
like not so many things could do.

A power this strong captivates,
and yearns for something more.
Sometimes makes me shed a tear,
memories I wish were nevermore.

What did you think

First Impression from the title - I actually thought it was going to be about something else.
It surprised me when you started to talk about trees.
But, as soon as you got me started on nature it really went good. I liked the moon stanza. well written.
Also, the last stanza really caught my attention. The last 2 lines were my favorite.
