A light in the forest
A tree dark as night
Can you not see me?
The light that resonates within?
In this dark world cast into eternal winter
Do your eyes not perceive light?
Too crowded by the dark that evades your soul
The light
A small flame of life
Now dies slowly
Can you not see me?
Standing before you
I will remain
Seen my no one
Envisioning all
Is the light so well hidden
In the depths of my soul?
The light in the forest
Can only live by your touch
Do you not see me?
Do you wish me gone?
For darkness to consume you?
Then I will go and leave you be
I will leave you to your darkness
And let you consume the light in me
