She is like a songbird
perched outside my window,
singing her sweet somethings
in my ear.
She is like the ocean tide
crashing on the shore,
reminding me how deep
her love goes.
Songbird
Sing me a tune,
cause I sure feel like singing
a love song to you.
She is like a wrecking ball
tearing down my walls,
destroying all the pain
in my past.
She is like a dancing fire
sweeping across my soul,
branding her love
across my heart.
Songbird
Sing me a tune
cause I sure feel like singing
a love song to you.
Hear you me Honey,
cause I sure feel like singing
my love's song to you.

i like how you used "sweet somethings" instead of "sweet nothings". it's a good twist on an overused saying. i also like the contrast between the songbird, which is soft and sweet, and the wrecking ball and the dancing fire and the ocean tide, all of which can be rough and destructive. it paints an interesting image.
