late agian
i hate this happens
i've been watching for you
the leaves blowing on the trees
counting stripes on the bumble bees
watching the weeds grow between the rocks
i hate it when the army talks
they keep you late all the time
long enough for me to think of a rhyme
the cold banistar touching my arm
hoping you are not in harm
the grass is growing
the wind is blowing
every car that drives by
i wonder why
its not you

I really like this poem and it can kill you waiting for a loved one to come back from the military..

I know what waiting is like, for your loved one to return from the army but for him to finally appear on your doorstep when he's running late for a date, a sad connection but one all the same. I like thr rhyme, though it seems forced at time.
