Continuum,
Unbroken line,
though space and time,
illusions all...
space, time and line.
What is ceases just to be,
becoming only a thing;
as limbs hewn from trees
become only wood.
from wholeness
to multiplicity
When is is lost,
was becomes,
and will…
with them
sadness,
and suffering.

Thank you BellaD, for the inspiration to write this piece. It's been a while. And I think this one has been hiding somewhere inside, begging to be written.

Hmmmm. Thought-provoking. It sounds like life, or at least some parts of it, could be a seamless pseudo-journey.
Unbroken line,
though space and time,
illusions all...
The last stanza gives me a lot to ponder. The present is gone, but something(s) from the past have returned? And will...left to the reader's imagination about what the future might bring. The sadness and suffering at the end is, unfortunately, the reality of the journey for all of us.
I like the sparse, powerful verse you've written. Nicely done and thank you for your entry.
