Pain surges through my veins,
I struggle against the alteration.
I kick and fight,
opposed to this end
Finally let go, I fall to the floor,
Scrambling around blindly.
Ready to attack, knowing I have no chance,
I look back at my aggressor.
But as if finished, it walks to my window,
And jumps out without such as a glance.
I stare at the window for a long time,
Before running up to it.
Looking out over the skies,
I see nothing but darkness.
Tiredness overpowers me,
So I lay down to rest.
I find I can’t sleep,
I find an odd unnameable craving is what I want.
Going out for a midnight walk,
I leave my apartment open.
I see couples happily holding hands,
Something I used to envy.
Seeing a little boy all alone,
I start following him.
Not questioning my instincts,
I quickly drag him into the forest as no one’s looking.
Prickles dig into my skin,
But I haven’t a care.
Holding his mouth shut,
I slowly dig my teeth into his neck.
Not teeth, I realize,
They’re fangs!
Tears pour down his face,
As he endures the same pain I did.
Kicking at a pathetic attempt to escape,
He faints.
I am a vampire, who stalks her prey at night,
Just carrying the message, of world domination.
